Tao Zhu Yin Yuan, located in the central business district area of Taipei, Taiwan, is an expression of the concept “tree of the city”, which illustrates how the city and ecological systems are mutually dependent. Committed to the effort of lowering energy consumption and carbon emission, Tao Zhu Yin Yuan captured the best qualities of nature with the planting of 23,000 trees and shrubs for carbon dioxide absorption of up to 130 tons a year. The sustainable residential skyscraper was recognized by both unique architectural design and sustainable construction awards.
